Wondering if it’s ok to wear undershirts in cooler months (or in cooler climates)?
Now that Labor has arrived, I would like to know if wearing plain white t shirt is still acceptable.
I wear my hanes t shirt all summer long and still would like to know if it is still alright.
yep, wearing undershirts all year round is perfectly acceptable! in cooler months undershirts will not only give you a little insulation from the cooler climate, but they will also keep your outer shirts cleaner and free of any residue from deodorants and or antiperspirants.
hope that helps!
In re-reading this reader’s email, I’m now wondering if he was actually asking if it was ok to wear his plain white Hanes undershirt/t-shirt by itself during the fall.
While there are clearly fashions designed for specific seasons, I can’t see the idea of wearing a plain white t-shirt being a seasonal choice, because to me it seems more of a personal style one.
The topic of wearing plain white t-shirts alone did surface here some time ago and we covered it pretty thoroughly.
The bottom line: Wearing plain white t-shirts is a personal/style choice. Also, the term “plain white tee” should not be confused with a proper fitting undershirt, or your typical box-cut undershirt. They are not the same. Be sure to read through the Can Undershirts Be Worn Alone post for the specifics.
