Sweat Management Update: Undershirts, Antiperspirants, & More! (Video)

April 17, 2012 | By | 1 Reply More

My good friend Antonio Centeno over at Real Men Real Style recently received a letter from a young man asking for some help in the Sweat Management area, and color me a bit surprised when Antonio referred him over to the Sweat Management category here on my site!

He also said that the information in my Sweat Management category is the best on the Planet! WhooHoo, I’m super honored! Thanks for the props Antonio.

Before I share his How to Deal with Excessive Sweating video (which is down below), I wanted to  quickly post a couple updates.

Sweat-through Resistant Undershirts

Here’s a list of sweat-through resistant undershirts currently on the market:

  1. advadri (united states)
  2. sutran undershirts (spain)
  3. kleinerts (united states)
  4. silverback apparel (canada)
  5. sweatshield undershirts (china)
  6. feel u undershirts (china)
  7. laulas undershirts (switzerland)
  8. thompson tee (united states)

Here are a couple articles that have lots of comments and feedback from readers who are heavy sweaters. Even though the articles are on specific undershirt solutions, the comments themselves span a bunch of different products. So be sure to look through all the comments.

Antiperspirant Options

In addition to the antiperspirant options shown in this How to Manage Sweaty Pit Syndrome article, here are some others:

  1. Degree Adrenaline Series
  2. Mitchum Advanced
  3. Right Guard
  4. Arm & Hammer – A reader recently wrote in to recommend this product.
This is what he said: “Hey! Have you ever heard of/tried Arm & Hammer’s antiperspirant? I’m a very sweaty dude, as in, I sweat when I just sit in a slightly stuffy room. And I tried soo many antiperspirants: Degree Adrenaline Series, Mitchum Advanced, Right Guard, etc. But, I’ll tell you, Arm & Hammer is by far the best with the baking soda in addition to the 19% of the active ingredient. I also bet the baking soda would prevent unsightly pit stains, too, since baking soda is such a powerful cleaning agent. Anyway, just wanted to see your opinion on the stuff.”
  5. Odaban
  6. Gillette Clinical Strength in Advanced Solid
  7. Possibly stop using antiperspirant altogether?

Antiperspirants Making You Sweat More?

Does wearing antiperspirant make you sweat more? I’ve never heard about this before, but this is a question from a viewer of Antonio’s video.

If you have some thoughts on this subject, I’d like to hear your thoughts. Let’s see if we can help the person who originally asked the question.

Hey I’m Joe, I am not a sweaty person at all but I was given some Gillette Clinical Gresh antiperspirant in a care box while deployed. I just started using it and it makes me sweat through my shirts wich is strange because like I said I’m not a sweaty person. Does anyone know if this particular deodorant tends to do that?
