Men’s Grooming Products: Lucky Tiger

I may not be the most stylish guy in the world, but one thing I can say confidently is that I like to be well groomed.

“Grooming” to me is inclusive of a lot of things, including but not limited to:

  • Clean: bathed, washed, etc.
  • Trimmed: whether it be mustache, beard, nose hair, ear hair, eyebrows, body hair (top side and bottom side), hair/sideburns
  • Brushed Teeth / fresh breath
  • No offensive body odor — anything you can prevent with regular bathing
  • Fingernails / Toenails — as clean as possible, but not necessarily manicured
  • Clothes that fit reasonably well — you don’t have to look like you just stepped out of a GQ magazine, but don’t look like you just stepped off the street

Out of the items above, I think I do a pretty reasonable job with all of them, though truth-be-told, I probably could spend a little more time focusing on the last two.

The two things I’m a bit of a stickler about though are (a) Cleaning my face with a facial scrub, (b) Smelling clean.

So when the folks at Lucky Tiger reached out to me to introduce their Men’s Grooming products, I immediately took an interest.

Lucky Tiger is a classic men’s grooming line.

Sweat Proof Undershirts

We have been around since the 1930s and are still bringing high quality products to the marketplace.

We do not make undershirts but we do have deodorant and other men’s products.

Your site is fantastic and we would like to send you some free samples to test.

I opted to check out their Muscle Rub (to ease my aging joints and muscles), Face Scrub, and Deodorant/Bodyspray.

I’ve been using the products for the last couple of months and have to say, I’m a bit of a fan.

Facial Scrub

Out of the three, this is probably my favorite.

Not sure if it’s because I’m a bit of a weird freak about facial scrubs or the fact that the product makes my face feel nice.

The base is kinda creamy and the beads are soft yet effective.

I generally like scrubs that are a bit more abrasive — maybe because I feel it’s cleaning my face more deeply — but as a daily-use facial scrub that I use in the shower, it’s pretty nice.

Doesn’t hurt that the Mrs. really likes using it too.

Deodorant / Body Spray

Now this stuff takes me back to my childhood when I went to the barber with my Dad.

I always enjoyed the clean fresh smell the barber shop had, and after a couple of sprays of the Lucky Tiger deodorant/body spray, I was re-reminded of just how very much I liked the smell.

They combine Vetiver, Rosewood, and Spearmint oils to make this spritz put off an undeniable, crisp & clean aroma of yester-year.

It’s really nice. It’s also made with witch hazel and glycerine which makes if underarm-friendly.

Muscle Rub

Second to my light-obsession with facial scrubs is my joy for many things Eucalyptus & Menthol.

Put me in a steam room with some eucalyptus for about 30 minutes and I’ll consider that a little slice of heaven.

Lucky Tiger’s Muscle Rub is made with Menthol, Eucalyptus, and Pure Beeswax.

It goes on super smooth and leaves a slight cooling sensation on my joints and muscles.

I’ve got some pretty bad joint pain in some areas and while I can’t say I noticed any notable relief using the rub on those problem areas, I do like the smell and the cooling sensation the rub puts off.

Thanks to the folks at Lucky Tiger for introducing me to their very cool, Retro-feeling, Men’s Grooming product line.
