Hey skip,

I haven't tried out underworks before/yet, but they have been out for a while. Based on the information I saw from them in the past, they were focusing their marketing on men who are affected with gynecomastia (man boobs). They may have shifted their marketing a bit to align with the recent interest in men's "shapewear" products like equmen, sculptees, and firm51. While I haven't tried underworks before, my (M/L) Sculptees T-Slim compression undershirt stretched from 21.5" to an impressive 29.5"+ in length when I put it on. So, depending on how tall you are, that might be something worth taking a look at.

For what it's worth, while underworks do seem to offer a nice variety of slimming products for men at a pretty decent price, I have to say that the newer men's shapewear undershirts seem to look a lot more stylish.

Tug, it looks like these specialized undershirts are going to be pricey. I googled and received some information on a company called Underworks----looks like they have a serious selection of slimming shirts and shorts, but not as expensive. Have you reviewed these in the past or has anyone on the blog had luck with them? I'm tall, and I want to make sure that there is enough coverage to go around, as well as see some serious slimming action.

@undershirtguy - thanks! i'll check back now and then for your review of equmen's product. IMO $100 is a lot to invest in one item without hearing feedback first... i am particularly curious as to how much it helps to pack in one's gut! if you say its a good product, i plan on using it when wearing a suit.

Thomas,

The Sculptee T-Slim I received is a M/L (medium/large) and while it looks like a tiny little shirt that would never fit a grown man, it actually fits me rather nicely (tight, as a slimming undershirt should). And, although it's tight, it's not too tight.

So, to your original question, I would suggest that you order your normal size.

hi nd!

were you referring to equmen or sculptees?

i'm still waiting for my equmen order. got an email from them earlier this morning saying that they received a return notice from UPS when attempting to deliver my package. not sure how that could happen considering I get UPS deliveries all the time. resent them my address so hopefully I'll get them soon. I did receive my Sculptees T-Slim shirt last week and I posted an update with a picture on the "Upcoming Undershirt Review: Sculptees Shapewear Undershirts for Men" post. I'll be wearing it this week and writing a review.

Has anyone tried the Sculptee sleeveless undershirt? I wonder if they are true to size or if they run small.

Hey Pat. Yes, this cool looking compression undershirt is on the more expensive side, but I don't think Equmen is expecting their undershirts will replace your every day undershirt. Think of buying a Core Precision Undershirt like you're buying a suit. You may not wear it all the time, but it's there when you need it. While the product is marketed for every day wear, you'll also be able to use it at the gym to help increase the intensity of your workout. I fully expect this compression undershirt to provide similar benefits that other compression active wear tops (like the Adidas Techfit) have.

If you're looking for a compression top that looks like a regular undershirt, there are other ones out there that are less expensive -- and I've written about them here on my blog (firm51, G2, Underworks). But I will say, in simply comparing the photos of the Core Precision Undershirt to other compression undershirts, the ones from Equmen look a bit more on the stylish side. We'll see. Just a couple more days until I get mine!

Gee! for a $138.00 per shirt these tees better make me look like Superman and wear like iron. I had thought of getting a few but not at that price. Obviously Equmen isn't going for the mass market. I doubt they will come down in price. Too bad, I like the idea. Your review would have to convince me they were worth it.
