Undershirt Review – RibbedTee Enhanced Fit

Back in May a guest reviewer provided a write-up and his thoughts on RibbedTee undershirts. More recently, they announced the introduction of their Enhanced Fit undershirts that were designed for men with slightly larger builds. Well our guest reviewer is back to provide his thoughts on their new product line.

I recently purchased a two-pack of the Enhanced Fit white v-neck RibbedTee undershirts from www.ribbedtee.com.

If you recall, I ordered the RibbedTee Classic Fit undershirts a couple of months ago and unfortunately, because of my particular build (wider shoulders and chest), they were too tight on me. Nice shirt, but I never wore it because it was too tight and I felt too restricted in it. They seem to have solved that fit problem with the new Enhanced Fit tees…great job RibbedTee!

Manufacturing: From a manufacturing point of view, the Enhanced Fit shirt is very well made overall and fits me perfectly. The stitching is nice and there doesn’t appear to be any gathering. The shirt came in the same clear packaging with a cardboard insert as the Classic Fit, in which it was nicely folded.

Fabric: The fabric is 100% lightweight cotton and is very breathable. The shirt is very form fitting and I liked the fit in the arms and chest much better than the Classic Fit.

Pros: quality fabric, extremely breathable, and minimal shrinkage

1. Overall good workmanship
2. Stretchy ribbed material provides good recovery and lays nicely
3. Stayed tucked in much better than most undershirts
4. Nice packaging
5. The design changes in this shirt appear to solve challenges others may have had in the classic fit tee.

Cons:

1. I prefer a deeper “V” in my v-necks. The Enhanced Fit v-neck can be seen when I wore it under a button down shirt with an open collar. Maybe in the future they will offer a deeper v-neck version.
2. The textured ribbing shows through my white dress shirts.

Summary: The Enhanced Fit feels very nice, which is unusual to me when using ribbed cotton. This shirt works better for me and fits my needs best as a casual wear tee shirt or as a workout tee shirt. I love wearing to the gym, running errands, or to the dog park as they really cut down on my sweating.

Great job RibbedTee on finding a unique, breathable, ribbed fabric. As I said before, if you’re someone who wears a wife beater tank top or a Hanes undershirt and you’re looking for an undershirt that will breathe nicely, keep you cool, and fit better than most…then I highly recommend purchasing the RibbedTee Enhanced Fit.
